Helping Me with His Help

 "If only..."
Most of us use these words - at times filled with regret, sometimes with a tinge of hope and sometimes with a sense of loss. We can't turn back time, can't undo what's done. Whether things are in favour or against us, they happen for a reason, which we sometimes can't comprehend.

We were all raised differently as children. However as an adult, we shouldn't blame what's in the past for what we are facing in the present. With the lessons learnt and the experiences we've picked up along the way, each of us has the capacity to make things right for ourselves, God Willing.

"You are not responsible for the programming you picked up in childhood.
However, as an adult, you are one hundred percent responsible for fixing it."
~Ken Keyes, Jr.

To overcome this is to openly accept - Redha, what has been done and what's in the past. Having regrets is natural and it should come with lessons learnt on how to make the best of things. Another way is to count our blessings and giving thanks to what's made available to us - both physically and intrinsically. Let's look around and see what really matters - our health, our loved ones.... Let's not allow ourselves to hide behind excuses..as this will merely makes us plunge into the deep pool of denial which some are unable to get out of......

"Doom comes about because of neglecting to evaluate one's self and because of just following one's whims."

—Ibn al-Qayyim [d. 751H/1350CE]

Positivity begets positivity. Only when the heart and mind is grateful and stays in positive mode, we'll able to feel the positive energy surrounding us. Hopefully this will spur us to do more and achieve more in pursuit of our life's fulfillment and towards attaining His Divine Love. May Almighty continue to give us the strength and wisdom... :)
