Orange Semolina with Poppy Seeds Cake [Kek Suji Oren]

I had a strong urge to try out another semolina cake recipe and was really glad I found one that's simple and tastes good. I adjusted the recipe to include a teaspoon of orange emulco, some orange zest and a sprinkling of poppy seeds for texture.

You'll need:

7" square cake tin, greased and lined.
Preheat the oven to 175deg celcius.

250gm butter
170gm castor sugar
2 tablespoons honey
4 eggs (grade A)
100ml milk
1 teaspoon orange emulco
170gm flour
1 tspn baking powder
100gm semolina (suji)
a pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of poppy seeds.

Sieve flour and baking powder and add semolina.
Cream butter, sugar and honey till creamy and soft.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add in Milk, emulco and continue to whisk till creamy.
Fold in flour mix and poppy seeds.
Pour into prepared tin and bake for 45mins or cake is done when tested with a skewer.
