TIM TAM BROWNIES!

With extra crushed Tim-Tams and Vanilla Frosting Drizzle
Yesterday, we were all craving for something indulgent and chocolaty. I opened the food-cupboard and realized that we have a stash of Tim Tams, courtesy of Grandpa who came to visit last week. So I thought, why not have these in my Brownies. So I whipped up this simple dessert in just 45mins! It's so yummy....the Tim Tam bits added crunch and richness to the already rich Brownies. Try it yourself. Or maybe you'd like to be adventurous and add your CHOICE of candy or chocolate bars...

TIM TAM BROWNIES

You'll need:
125gm butter,
1/3 cup cocoa powder,
2 large eggs,
1 cup fine sugar,
1/2 cup Self-raising flour and
4pcs Tim-Tams (any flavour).

Melt butter and add cocoa powder. (don't stinge on the cocoa)
Set aside to cool.
In the meantime, in a large bowl, whip up eggs and add fine sugar. Continue to whisk till sugar dissolves.
Pour chocolate mix into egg mix. stir.
Sift Self-raising flour and fold mixture.
Chop Tim-Tams (any flavour) and toss them into the batter.
Bake in a prepared 20cm pan in a preheated 180deg oven for about 20-25mins or till a skewer comes out clean when checked in the center of brownies.

For topping:
Melt about 80gm of semi-sweet chocolate, 1tablespoon of butter and 1tablespoon of icing sugar. Stir well till sugar dissolves and spread on cooled brownies. Use a serrated knife to make patterns on the chocolate topping.

Alternatively, you may also melt about 60gm of chocolate and spread on the Brownies. Crush about 4 pieces of Tim-Tams and sprinkle on it. Then warm drizzle some Vanilla Frosting for a fine touch. Great as a gift or when entertaining :)

    1. It is yummy! Try it! I 'discovered' it by chance actually. It gives it some crunch and nice aroma too! You can even try to crush it and sprinkle some on the baked brownies after the layer of melted choc. Decadent!!
